At the 26th edition of the XPRIMM Insurance Market Awards Gala, GROUPAMA Asigurari won the Company of the Year award, while Virgil SONCUTEAN, CEO of ALLIANZ-TIRIAC Asigurari, was awarded the Manager of the Year trophy.

The annual XPRIMM Insurance Market Awards Gala, one of the landmark events of the Romanian insurance industry, took place on September 2, 2026, bringing together market leaders, authorities, insurance and brokerage professionals, and industry partners to recognize outstanding performance, leadership, innovation and contributions to the market’s development.

ALLIANZ-TIRIAC Asigurari was also recognized for Strategic Leadership, while OMNIASIG VIG received the award for Excellence in Insurance and GENERALI Romania for Quality of Services.

In the major business-line categories, PADROM – Natural Disaster Insurance Pool was named Company of the Year – General Insurance, while NN Asigurari de Viata received the Company of the Year – Life Insurance distinction. UNSAR – National Union of Insurance and Reinsurance Companies of Romania was honored for Institutional Excellence.

The brokerage sector was represented among the Gala’s top winners by MARSH Romania, named Broker of the Year – Corporate, and SAFETY Broker, which received the Broker of the Year – Retail award. DESTINE Broker was recognized for Excellence in Distribution.

One of the evening’s special moments was the presentation of the Lifetime Achievement Award to Ionel DIMA, honoring almost four decades of professional activity and his significant contribution to the development of Romania’s insurance industry.

The Gala also recognized achievements across several key areas of the market, including retail, health and life insurance, MTPL, surety insurance, digital innovation, insurance products and distribution, as well as financial education, road safety and initiatives promoting insurance and a culture of prevention.

The evening concluded with the traditional group photo of the winners and partners, adding another chapter to the 26-year history of the XPRIMM Insurance Market Awards Gala.
