Total GWP of Albanian insurers grew by 4.9% y-o-y to ALL 10.6 billion (EUR 112.3 million) in the first five months of 2026, according to the Albanian Financial Supervisory Authority (AFSA), SeeNews reports.

The life insurance segment increased by 5.5% on the year to ALL 997.3 million in the January-May period, the AFSA said.

Total paid claims rose by 15.86% on the year to ALL 3.8 billion (~EUR 40.32 million) in the first five months of 2026.

It is noted that the statistics comprise data from eight insurance companies operating in Albania.
