In January-April of this year, voluntary insurance in Azerbaijan totaled AZN 518 million (~EUR 261.62 million), which is 14.6% more y-o-y, Trend reports, citing the Central Bank of Azerbaijan.

During the reporting period, voluntary insurance paid claims increased by 34% y-o-y, reaching AZN 250.6 million (~EUR 126.56 million).

Mandatory insurance in January-April totaled AZN 92.21 million (~EUR 46.57 million), which represents a 32.5% decrease y-o-y.

Paid claims in mandatory insurance rose by 21.3% y-o-y, reaching AZN 53.71 million (~EUR 27.12 million), the source writes.
