Total GWP of Albanian insurers amounted to ALL 3.8 billion (EUR 38.5 million) in the first two months of 2025, up by 6.9% y-o-y, SeeNews writes with reference to official figures.

Non-life GWP on the market rose by 6% y-o-y to ALL 3.4 billion in January and February, while the life insurance segment saw an increase of 15.5%, to ALL 359.2 million, according to the Albanian Financial Supervisory Authority (AFSA).

Total paid claims decreased by 1.28% y-o-y to ALL 1.27 billion in the first two months of 2025.

It is noted that statistics comprise data from eight insurance companies operating in Albania.
