AON Q1 2022 revenue increased to USD 3.7 bn

Global re/insurance brokerage company AON reported Q1 2022 total revenue worth USD 3.67 billion, an increase of USD 145 million or 4% more y-o-y, while total operating expenses increased 1% y-o-y to USD 2.3 billion, of which USD 1.76 billion - related to compensation and benefits. At the same time, operating income increased 10% to USD 1.36 billion from USD 1.24 billion at the end of March 2021.

Per business lines, Commercial Risk Solutions posted 5% increase in revenue to USD 1.71 billion "driven by strong retention, new business generation, and management of the renewal book portfolio", as the broker mentioned in a statement.

Reinsurance Solutions revenue posted 6% increase in revenue from USD 922 million in Q1 2021 to USD 976 million, due to "strong growth in treaty, driven by strong retention and continued net new business generation, as well as strong growth in facultative placements and double-digit growth in capital markets transactions".

Health Solutions revenue increased by USD 23 million to USD 638 million "driven by strong retention and management of the renewal book portfolio", while Wealth Solutions revenue decreased by USD 10 million to USD 345 million, "driven by modest growth in the core portion of the business, partially offset by a modest decline in project-related work".
