GWP from mandatory health insurance in Azerbaijan in the first quarter of 2021 exceeded AZN 112.3 million (EUR 56.3 million*), Trend reported according to the Azerbaijani Minister of Economy Mikayil JABBAROV.

As the minister noted, this result is AZN 25.5 million over the forecast. Mikayil JABBAROV emphasized that introduction of the mandatory health insurance system will improve the access of the population to reliable and high-quality medical services.

Since April 1, 2021, mandatory health insurance is covering the entire population of the country.
