In January-November 2025, the insurance sector of Azerbaijan totaled AZN 1,365.35 million (~EUR 0.69 billion), which is 11.7% more y-o-y, ABC.AZ writes with reference to the report of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan.

Total paid claims for the reporting period amounted to AZN 844.83 million (~EUR 0.43 billion), which is 21.7% more y-o-y.

In January-November 2025, Azerbaijani insurers generated AZN 331.33 million in compulsory insurance, which is 7% more y-o-y. At the same time, paid claims in the segment for the period under review reached AZN 131.69 million, which is 4.5% more y-o-y.

During January-November 2025, life insurance in Azerbaijan totaled AZN 773.89 million, which is 16.1% more y-o-y. At that paid claims in life insurance increased by 32.2% and reached AZN 595.68 million.

In January-November 2025, the non-life insurance segment amounted to AZN 591.45 million, which is 6.5% more y-o-y. While paid claims in the segment during the reporting period increased by 2.4% and reached AZN 249.14 million, the source added.
