In January-February 2025, GWP of 16 insurance companies operating in Azerbaijan amounted to AZN 281.20 million (~EUR 158.87 million), which is 17.3% more y-o-y, ABC.AZ writes with reference to the Central Bank.

During the reporting period, insurers' paid claims reached AZN 108.59 million (~EUR 61.35 million), which means an increase of 11.45%.

According to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, the companies with the largest GWP collected in the period under review are Pasha life Insurance (AZN 100.4 million) and Pasha Insurance (AZN 95.2 million) followed by Qala Insurance Company (over AZN 19.2 million), Ateshgah life Insurance Company (AZN 16.8 million), Ateshgah Insurance Company (over AZN 9.6 million), and Aqrar Sığorta (over AZN 7.9 million), the source writes.
