The insurance market of Azerbaijan in January-May 2025 amounted to AZN 719.4 million (~EUR 372.74 million), which is 11.7% more y-o-y, ABC.AZ writes with reference to the data of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan.

Of these, AZN 417.7 million were collected in life insurance – AZN 370.6 million came from voluntary life insurance, and AZN 47.1 million from compulsory life insurance. GWP in voluntary non-life insurance amounted to AZN 177.6 million, and in compulsory non-life insurance – AZN 124.1 million.

In January-May, the market recorded an increase in paid claims by 14.8%. Total paid claims reached AZN 314.8 million (~EUR 163.10 million). Of these, AZN 205.3 million (+20.5%) were paid in life insurance, AZN 109.5 million (+5.4%) – in non-life insurance.
