The Dutch insurer Aegon condemns the aggression ordered by the Russian Government against the sovereign country of Ukraine, and announced a company-wide donation of EUR 1 million to the Red Cross to support the humanitarian effort for Ukraine and its citizens

"The unjustifiable violence unleashed on Ukraine and its people has shocked and saddened us as individuals and as a company. Our hearts go out to them and everyone who wants to live in peace and freedom," said Aegon CEO Lard Friese.

"On behalf of the Management Board, I want to express our support to everyone affected at this difficult time. To contribute to the immediate need for practical help we will make a company-wide donation of EUR 1 million to the Red Cross to support the humanitarian effort for Ukraine and its citizens," Lard FRIESE said.
