Alexander BOCKELMANN, Chief Digital Officer and Management Board member of UNIQA Osterreich Versicherungen AG and UNIQA International AG, will be leaving the company at his own request at the end of January 2019.

He will take on the position of Chief IT Officer within the Corporate Executive Committee of the SWISS Baloise Group.

From February, the three areas of the Digitalisation division will report directly to Andreas BRANDSTETTER.

Bockelmann joined UNIQA as Head of Group IT in 2013. Since the middle of 2016, he has also taken on the role of Chief Digital Officer and in this position was on the Management Board of UNIQA Austria and UNIQA International. He also reorganised the UNIQA IT organisation and structure across the Group, launched an in-house execution lab on digitalisation with the Digital team and, with the establishment of corporate venturing and open innovation, made a key contribution to the development of the ecosystems relevant to UNIQA.
