The insurance market of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) ended Q3 2025 with aggregate GWP worth BAM 895.19 million (~EUR 457.70 million), up by 8.6% y-o-y, market data published by AZOBiH - Insurance Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The non-life GWP's contribution to the market portfolio was about 82% (BAM 734.5 million, 9.3% more y-o-y), while the life-insurance companies contributed the remainder BAM 160.7 million, or 5.5% more y-o-y.
Claims and indemnities paid at market level totaled BAM 361.34 million (EUR 184.76 million), up by 12% y-o-y. Life indemnities accounted for BAM 92 million, while on claim files opened on non-life subclasses local insurers reported payments worth almost BAM 270 million.
FBiH insurers generated 70.7% of the total GWP (BAM 633 million), while insurers domiciled in Srpska Republic posted GWP worth BAM 262 million.
Uniqa osiguranje is the largest life insurer in the market, with a 23.12% market share followed by Vienna osiguranje and Triglav osiguranje (20.56% and 16.6% respectively). ASA osiguranje is the top non-life insurer, with a market share of 15.4%. Top 3 is completed by Adriatic osiguranje and Euroherc osiguranje and controls a total share of 37.78% of the market GWP.
