BELARUS: insurance organizations have been determined to pay for Belarus' share in the Eurasian Reinsurance Company

The Resolution of the Council of Ministers d/d August 20 determined in 2024 the organizations authorized to pay for Belarus' share in the charter capital of the Eurasian Reinsurance Company, BELTA reports with reference to the National Legal Internet Portal.

The decision to establish the Eurasian Reinsurance Company was made by the heads of government of the Eurasian Economic Union countries at the end of August 2022.

According to the resolution, Beleximgarant will make a payment in the amount of RUB 675 million, Belgosstrakh, as well as Belarus Re – RUB 506.25 million each.

The Eurasian Reinsurance Company is to promote an increase in mutual trade, development of economic integration between the parties, an increase in investment attractiveness and expansion of trade and economic ties between the parties and third countries by carrying out activities in the field of reinsurance, the source writes.
