Bosnia and Herzegovina: The business of insurers operating in Bosnia's Federation expanded 9% y-o-y in the first four months

The business of insurance companies operating in Bosnia's Federation expanded 9% y-o-y to BAM 196.5 million (EUR 100.5 million) from January to April this year, SeeNews reports according to what official data showed.

Non-life sector increased 6.7% to BAM 151.1 million in the period, while life GWP went up 17.2% to BAM 45.4 million, as the figures posted on the website of the Federation's insurance supervision agency show.

Adriatic Osiguranje is leading the non-life segment with BAM 20.3 million collected in the first four months (vs BAM 18.6 million a year earlier), followed by Sarajevo Osiguranje and Euroherc Osiguranje, with BAM 19.7 million and BAM 18.2 million, respectively.

The life insurance segment is headed by Sarajevo-based Grawe Osiguranje with BAM 11.2 million in January-April (vs BAM 10.3 million in the same period of 2021). It is followed by Uniqa Osiguranje and Triglav Osiguranje, with life GWP of BAM 9.9 million and BAM 8.9 million, respectively.

At the end of April, 20 insurance companies operated in Bosnia's Federation.
