Bosnia and Herzegovina: in January-November the insurance market rises 9.7%

Total GWP of insurance companies operating in Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Federation increased by 9.7% y-o-y to BAM 672.4 million (EUR 343.8 million) in January-November of 2024, SeeNews writes with reference to official data.

Non-life business increased by 12.1% to BAM 542.1 million, while life insurance rose by 1% to BAM 130.4 million, according to figures posted by the Federation’s insurance supervision agency.

ASA Central Osiguranje ranks first in the non-life segment with BAM 100.7 million in the period under review, up from BAM 86.1 million a year earlier. It is followed by Adriatic Osiguranje and Euroherc Osiguranje, with BAM 81.3 million and BAM 72.8 million, respectively.

In the life insurance segment, Grawe Osiguranje is leading with BAM 29.5 million in January-November, up from BAM 28.5 million in the same period of 2023. It is followed by Vienna Osiguranje and Uniqa Osiguranje, with life GWP of BAM 29.2 million and BAM 26.8 million, respectively.

Is it noted that at the end of November, 20 insurance companies operated in Bosnia’s Federation.
