CROATIA: Croatia Osiguranje raises its stake in Sava Re to 19.04%

Slovenian reinsurer Pozavarovalnica Sava (Sava Re) said that Croatian insurer Croatia Osiguranje has raised its stake in Sava Re by 4.87% to 19.04% last week. Croatia osiguranje is the largest and oldest insurance company in Croatia. The company is a market leader with a strong focus on digitalization.

According to Croatia osiguranje, on 4 April 2025, the Supervisory Board of Croatia osiguranje d.d. approved the transactions between Croatia osiguranje d.d. and Croatian diversified holding company Adris grupa d.d., which relate to the acquisition of direct equity interests through the purchase and sale of shares in Pozavarovalnica Sava d.d. and Professio Energia d.d. Croatia Osiguranje acquired 838,197 shares in Sava Re.

Following this transfer, Croatia Osiguranje is the holder of 3,278,049 shares in Sava Re, representing 19.04% stake in its capital, or, taking into account Sava Re's own shares, a 21.15% stake in the voting rights.
