The non-life segment recorded a positive change and achieved a profit after tax of EUR 1.07 million, compared to last year's loss of EUR 405 thousand. This improvement is primarily attributed to the growth of the premium portfolio and an increase in income from insurance.
Life insurance remains an important segment, although profit fell to EUR 3.72 million (vs EUR 7.28 million in 2023). This decline was due to increased deferred tax expenses and reduced other income.
Total premiums collected in 2024 amounted to EUR 111.4 million, 76% of which came from non-life insurance, while 24% related to life insurance. Most of the premium income was generated in the Republic of Croatia, while 4.1% of premium income from non-life insurance was recorded in Slovenia based on the freedom to provide services within the EU, the source added.
