As in previous years, the rating agency's decision confirms the strength and stability of the largest Czech insurance company.
The rating agency's assessment is based on an assessment of the four basic pillars it represents: asset strength rated as stable, high operational performance, business profile classified as very favorable and proper risk management. In all the above points, the insurance company defended the evaluation achieved last year and thus continues to be a guarantee for clients and business partners that it is able to meet all its commitments.
The assets of the Generali Group are based on risk-adjusted capitalization, which the rating agency assessed at its highest capital ratio. As of 30 September 2021, the Group had a regulatory solvency ratio of 233%.
High operating efficiency is supported by the technical result, especially in non-life insurance. Based on the calculation of the A. M. Best agency, the average combined ratio of the Group for the five-year period ending in 2020 is 92.1%.
Very favorable business profile is based on a leading and sustainable position in key markets. The group has excellent access to markets through its own strong network and also thanks to its multi-channel distribution strategy. The Group continues to expand its asset management business. This area provides the group with a diversified source of income.
