On 29 August 2019, Zavarovalnica Triglav announced that David BENEDEK has assumed the office on the Management Board of Zavarovalnica Triglav, for a five-year term.

On 28 March 2019, the Supervisory Board passed the resolution on his appointment. On 29 August 2019, after 5 months, BENEDEK was issued a decision by the Insurance Supervision Agency authorizing him to serve on the Management Board of Zavarovalnica Triglav. BENEDEK will be in charge of the Triglav Group Subsidiary Management Division and Investments.

BENEDEK has an MBA degree from Indiana University, Kelley School of Business, USA. He began his career in finance at NLB d.d. in May 1997. After 1 year, he moved to New York to work in UBS Investment Bank, where he spent almost 3 years as an associate on mergers & acquisitions field. Returned back in his home-country, BENEDEK has continued his work at NLB, on management positions, up until July 2017. BENEDEK joined Triglav Group in July 2014.
