The event will start with an opening speech by the Rector of the University St. Kliment Ohridski followed by a keynote speech by Professor Karel Van Hulle, the father of Solvency II insurance directive and the author of the book "Solvency Requirements for EU Insurers: Solvency II is good for you."
An excellent panel discussion will follow under the titles Does insurance still matter? A combination of experienced regulatory and business experts will discuss on the topic. The panel group includes the following experts: Gorazd Cibej, Hrvoje Paukovic, Nic De Maesschalck and Michael Brandstetter.
The conference will also provide space for the most relevant topics in insurance lately, digitalization and catastrophic risks. Jean-Pierre Daniel will speak about telematics insurance and Goran Trendafiloski will provide his insights about managing catastrophic risks.
Researchers have their own space. The agenda includes three research sessions on broad topics on risk and insurance. Each participant will have 10 minutes available for presenting their work. After each speech a 5-minute Q&A session will be conducted meant for sharing views, discussing open questions, or receiving guidelines for future works and cooperation.
The intensive schedule brings an excellent reward. The conference participants will have a chance to relax and see the beauties of the host city, Ohrid, having an enjoyable boat trip and a wonderful opportunity for informal networking.
