Insurance companies are expected to play a critical part in the transition to a net-zero, resilient and socially just economy. Not only can they impact changes through ESG investing and underwriting, but they can also make contribution with own sustainable and inclusive operations that go beyond traditional corporate social responsibility approaches.

The first ESG IN INSURANCE Conference organized within the 2023 IIF - The International Insurance Forum framework, in Vienna, on 4 April will explore the way that market and regulatory drivers in different European jurisdictions lead to various stages of the ESG maturity of the insurance companies.

Two well respected academics, Prof. Ksenija DENCIC-MIHAJLOV, University of Nis, Serbia & Ostfalia University of Applied Sciences, Center for Scientific Interdisciplinary Risk and Sustainability Management, Germany and Klime POPOSKI, CEO, Winner-VIG and Professor at St Kliment Ohridski University, North Macedonia will present the results of a study exploring how European insurers and supervisors are advancing in the sustainability agenda indicating the differences between internationally and regionally active insurance companies.

IIF 2023 - ESG IN INSURANCE Conference is a top-level environment for exchanging business insights on the future outlook for the insurance industry and how it will be shaped by sustainability, technological, regulatory and distribution drivers.
