According to the Estonian Insurance Companies Association (EKsL), 28 travel insurance disputes between customers and insurers have been registered by the insurance conciliation body this year, which is 17 more than a year ago.

In 10 months this year, insurance companies have paid EUR 11.8 million as travel insurance benefits, which is much more than in previous years - in the same period of 2021, EUR 3.9 million were compensated, and in previous years the amount was within EUR 8 million.

Insurance disputes arising between customers and insurers are resolved in the insurance conciliation body operating at EKsL, which is a state-recognized out-of-court dispute resolution body.
