EVENT: The XXIII Annual Reinsurance Conference took place in Moscow

The XXIII Annual Reinsurance Conference, a traditional 2 days event which gathers all the Russian insurance and reinsurance sector, as well as foreign participants, almost 200 participants from 23 countries, has started on Wednesday, 10 April, in Moscow.
  • The first day (April 10) of the Conference is marked with plenary discussions devoted to the most important issues of the entire insurance community: the state and the potential of the Russian and international reinsurance markets, the prospects and dynamics of development, new insurance types etc. 
  • The second day (April 11) will be traditionally devoted to thematic sections on specific and practical reinsurance issues, in the presence of leading Russian and foreign experts.
XPRIMM, a traditional Media Partner of the event, have launched at the conference the latest edition of Insurance Profile Russia, dedicated to the local insurance market.


The conference was opened by Igor ALEKSEEV, Deputy Director, INGOSSTRAKH, which stressed over the importance of the Solvency II implementation on the Russian market and its implications.

Also, Vladimir NOVIKOV, Deputy General Director, SBERBANK Insurance, pointed that "Solvency II has affected a lot the European insurance sector and now it will be implemented within 5 years in Russia as well; we have a calendar in this regard, which is quite short in comparison to EU countries".
