According to the most recent statistics published by Estonian Motor Insurance Bureau, in the first eleven months in 2020, in the country there were about 25,000 traffic insurance accidents subject to insurance, of which 10,300 were related to parking lots.

Practically, "41 of all traffic accidents are parking accidents", Estonian Motor Insurance Bureau representatives affirmed in a statement.

According to Ulli REIMETSA, Head of the Traffic Insurance Fund's Damage Prevention Department, most of collisions happen in reverse parking, in the night: "In the last three years, 61% of accidents in car parks in December were caused by reversing."
