FIAR 2023: How and how much AI technologies may change the insurance business

11 May 2023 — Daniela GHETU
Since ChatGPT opened the door to friendly chatting with a machine, allowing for human-like conversations and much more with a chatbot, AI's capabilities have become increasingly visible and acknowledged. Between tested reality and legends, what is clear is that AI technologies might change the insurance industry.

"2023 will be the year of AI for Insurance," Arndt GOSSMANN, CEO, DGTAL predicts, and he will explain the reasons that motivate his opinion at FIAR - the International Insurance-Reinsurance Forum", on 25-27 June, in Bucharest.

DGTAL is bringing together the collective experience of its founding entities, a German insurance company and a Swiss deep tech company, aiming to become the first fully automated, digital Claims Agent. In just over a year from its launch, and with offices in Zurich, Hamburg, Athens and Copenhagen, DGTAL is already working on +8 DRILLER and HUSTON projects with clients from Germany, the UK and Greece, in the fields of Insurance, Reinsurance and Gaming.

With over 20 years of experience in insurance and restructuring, Arndt GOSSMANN held several C-Level mandates at KPMG, SOVAG and DARAG, a company that he founded and managed, selling it at four times higher book value. Arndt GOSSMANN is a visiting lecturer at the Institute of Insurance Economics, University of St. Gallen.
