The inaugural edition of ReConnext, an all-inclusive reinsurance networking event, took place on February 16-19, 2025, at the Titanic Mardan Palace Hotel in Antalya. The event organized by Confera Event Partners and IUC Group launched a completely new “all-inclusive event concept” and hosted several interesting conference sessions.

XPRIMM, as a partner of the event, was involved in the Climate Change & CAT Modeling session, benefiting from the expertise of Prof. Sinan AKKAR, Group Manager, Modelling & Data Analytics, T Rupt , Laura BARKSBY, Assistant Director – Product Manager, Model Product Management, Moody's and Ionut BACIU, Deputy General Manager, PAID. Modelling and managing the earthquake risk in countries with a high exposure to this type of catastrophe was the main focus of the session, both in the presentations delivered by the speakers and the subsequent panel of discussions.

Sergiu COSTACHE, President of the XPRIMM Group of companies has also chaired the roundtable of the trends in the insurance markets of Eastern Europe. Özgür Obalı Secretary General, TSB, Vusal Abbasov CEO, AZ Re and Gorazd Jenko Executive Director, Triglav have discussed about the latest trends in the Eastern markets, from the current financial status and impact of inflation in the insurance business, to the regulatory changes and the digital transformation across the region.

Other sessions were dedicated to parametric insurance, agricultural insurance and tailored solutions for one of the world’s most vital sectors. The roundtables organized by Moody’s and Argenta added insightful information on the Catastrophe Risk Management in Türkiye and Lloyd’s of London contribution to growth and diversification in the reinsurance world.
