GREECE: Fewer complaints about the insurance market in 2022 over the last seven years

The situation on the insurance market based on the complaints received by the Consumer Ombudsman in 2022 compared to previous years significantly improved, insurancedaily.gr reports.

In the Annual Report for 2022, the Consumer Advocate pointed out that in 2022 they handled 338 consumer complaints about the insurance market, vs:

401 in 2021

459 in 2020

432 in 2019

405 of 2018.

It was noted that 2022 was the best of the last seven years.

The financial services sector in the total number of complaints received last year accounted for 18.4%, essentially recording the lowest percentage over the last decade.

The complaints received on private insurance in 2022 were related to the following: 29.6% about life insurance policies, 28.1% - home insurance and property, while most complaints (41.1%) were about health insurance.
