Generali Ceska pojistovna to merge with Generali Slovakia

Generali CEE Holding announced the merger of its Czech and Slovak units: Generali Ceska pojistovna and Generali Slovakia. Generali in Slovakia will operate as a branch of Generali Ceska pojistovna, under the name Generali Poistovna, a branch of an insurance company from another Member State.

"Organisational interconnection is now subject to approval by the competent supervisory authorities. When Generali gets approval from the supervisory authorities, all customers in Slovakia will be informed of the change within the statutory time limit (30 days)", as Generali CEE mentioned in a statement.

Roman Juras, CEO of Generali Ceska pojistovna and Country Manager of the Generali Group for the Czech Republic and Slovakia, says: "We want to use the expertise, capacities and best experience of both companies to permanently connect teams and create a new structure that makes sense. We have a great opportunity to join forces, to use the size and power of Generali Ceska pojistovna and the simplicity and innovative drive of Slovak Generali to provide the best services for our customers and partners together."

Roman Juras will be the Country Manager and CEO for the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Juraj Jurcik will be a member of the Czech-Slovak Board of Directors and at the same time he will manage the Slovak Generali branch, while he will also be responsible for sales area in Slovak.
