Hungary: Laszlo SEBESTYEN reelected as President of brokers association for the third time

Laszlo SEBESTYEN, the President of the largest Hungarian brokers' association (FBAMSZ - Hungarian Association of Independent Insurance Brokers) was given a mandate for another two years, informed Biztosito Magazin.

FBAMSZ is active on the Hungarian insurace market for almost three decades and through its membership it represents as premium volume, more than half of local brokerage market.

The mentioned publication wrote that the online General Meeting of FBAMSZ elected on the first Friday in February Laszlo SEBESTYEN, the managing director of NETRISK Magyarorszag Kft., as the President of the Association for another two years.

The General Meeting also confirmed that members' of the Board terms expire, so in the next period Laszlo MOLNAR (Vice President), Melinda BAKSA, Bertalan BALOGH, Zsolt CSELOVSZKI, Andras SEBESTYEN and Zoltan VILICS will remain members of the Board in addition to the re-elected President.

Laszlo SEBESTYEN took over the President position of FBAMSZ in 2017. Since 2012, he is the manager of NETRISK Magyarorszag Kft. Prior to that, (1992-2012) he worked about 20 years for GENERALI Group on different positions: first as a sales manager and then as manager of property insurance business. Between 2007 and 2012, he was the Managing Director and a Member of the Board of Directors of GENERTEL Zrt.

In his speech following the re-election, Laszlo SEBESTYEN stressed that for the upcoming period, "one of the most important task of the association is to further strengthen the role of brokers in the insurance market, an industry which is in gaining momentum after the Coronavirus pandemic", wrote profitline.hu.
