Total number of insurance companies at the end of April 2019, was 27 (vs 31 a year ago). At the same time, assets of insurers increased by 17.6% y-o-y, according to Ranking.kz.

Total assets of the insurance market reached KZT 1.1 trillion, whereas a year ago total assets amounted to KZT 948.9 billion with annual growth of 7.1%.

Securities account for over half (53.7%) of all assets of the insurance market. Insurance premiums occupy 4.4% in the assets structure.

The largest insurer in terms of assets is EURASIA, whose assets at the end of April 2019, reached KZT 270.4 billion (+12%). The insurer's market share is 24.2%. The leader is followed by HALYK-Life (KZT 146.7 billion, 13.1%) and HALYK (KZT 127 billion, 11.4%). Together, the TOP-3 occupy 48.7% of the sector's assets. The share of TOP-10 companies increased from 70.7% to 85.1%, Allinsurance.kz reports.
