The Polish Financial Supervision Authority (KNF) decided on October 2, 2020 to appoint Beata KOZLOWSKA-CHYLA for the position of President of the Management Board of PZU SA, a position that she held on interim basis since the resignation of Pawel SUROWKA.

Beata KOZLOWSKA-CHYLA was appointed to the Management Board of PZU SA in March 2020 and was entrusted with the function of the acting President of the Management Board of PZU SA until the final approval of the KNF.

Beata KOZLOWSKA-CHYLA graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Warsaw. She obtained a doctoral degree in legal sciences and then a postdoctoral degree in legal sciences. She is a lecturer at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Warsaw in the Department of Commercial Law. She performs the profession of legal advisor and is a recommended arbitrator at the Court of Arbitration at the Polish Chamber of Commerce in Warsaw.

KOZLOWSKA-CHYLA was a member of the Supervisory Board of PZU SA, a member of the Supervisory Board of TFI PZU SA and PTE PZU SA, and a member of the management board of PZU SA twice. She also sat on the management board of PZU Zycie SA. Currently, she is the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Grupa Lotos SA. She worked as the deputy director of the Legal and Licensing Department at the Office for Supervision over Pension Funds, she was the President of the Management Board of Polski Wydawnictwo Ekonomiczny SA.
