The conference was opened by a presentation on the prospects of the Latvian, Estonian, Lithuanian insurance markets, and a comparison of the Baltic markets, as well as an impact assessment of Covid-19. This followed by the presentation and the panel of discussions on cyber security and cyber insurance. The second part of the conference was devoted to discussions on motor insurance in the aspect of revision of the MTPL Directive, the third - to sustainability issues and innovations in sustainability regulation.
"The Baltic Insurance and Reinsurance Conference has arrived at majority - this year it is taking place for the eighteenth time. However, I am convinced that it will continue to attract attention of the representatives of finance and insurance sectors, and public authorities, as the program has very relevant topics and high-profile speakers. (...) Sustainability is also an undeniable topic, as well as changes in transport insurance. No matter how simple motor insurance sounds, questions about its future are catchy..." said Janis Abasins, President of the LAA and moderator of the conference.
