1 April 2025 — Marina MAGNAVAL
The first Latvian insurance forum will be held on April 4, bringing together representatives of insurance companies and brokers to discuss current issues and development directions in the industry. The forum also includes practical workshops, the Association announced.

“The goal of the forum is to discuss and have an in-depth analysis of the industry, as well as to improve cooperation between insurers and brokers. It is also an opportunity for those working in the industry to learn about current issues and exchange experiences to promote the growth of the industry and strengthen its reputation”, says Jānis Abāšins, President of the Latvian Insurers Association (LAA).

At the forum, Evija Dundure, representative of the Bank of Latvia, will talk about the current issues that supervisory institutions are working on, and the expected changes in the future. Meanwhile, Olga Condorfa, representative of the insurance and risk management broker Marsh, will share global experience on how insurers and brokers can complement each other and what potential has not yet been used in Latvia in this regard.

In the panel discussion “From lower premiums to better coverage”, representatives of insurance companies and brokers will discuss whether and how broker and client thinking has changed in recent years, what challenges arise when trying to balance price and value, and how brokers, insurers, regulators and technologies can jointly drive the market towards a more sustainable and high-quality approach to insurance.

The forum is organized by the LAA in cooperation with insurance broker associations.
