Up until her appointment, GOVINA previously spent 3 years as Advisor to Marius JURGILAS, Member of the Board of the Bank of Lithuania.
GOVINA started working in the field of financial market supervision in 2008, namely in the Insurance Supervisory Commission, where she was responsible for the supervision of non-life insurance undertakings.
In 2012, GOVINA moved on to the Bank of Lithuania Supervision Service's Financial Services Supervision unit, where she investigated consumer complaints, carried out company inspections and contributed to the development of the legal framework that served as a gateway for fintech companies (primarily crowdfunding platforms) to Lithuania.
Since October 2016 up to date, in the role of Advisor to Marius JURGILAS, GOVINA has been responsible for issues related to fintech and innovation.

The Supervision Service of the Bank of Lithuania is one of the largest structural units of the institution. The unit is made of two Departments - the Prudential Supervision Department and the Financial Services and Markets Supervision Department. Currently, the Supervision Service of the Bank of Lithuania employs roughly 150 people.
