LITHUANIA: Lietuvos Draudimas donates personal insurance to all Ukrainian minor children in Lithuania

14 March 2022 —
Lietuvos Draudimas (the leader of the insurance market in Lithuania) on March 9 announced that it is giving personal insurance to all minor children arriving from Ukraine. Refugee status is not required, it is enough that the child is a citizen of Ukraine, and the event took place in Lithuania, delfi.lt wrote.

The insurer explained that the current situation in Ukraine has caused a huge humanitarian crisis. There are over 4,000 refugees in Lithuania, of whom 40% - children. "Therefore, we immediately decided to give personal insurance to all children so that they could feel safe in Lithuania", comments Aurelija KAZLAUSKIENE, Director of Strategy, Clients and Marketing Department of Lietuvos Draudimas.

The donated insurance amount is EUR 5 000. "The insurance coverage for children arriving from Ukraine will take effect automatically on March 9 and will last until midnight on April 30. It is important that if a child is traumatized or otherwise injured, they should first go to a medical facility. Then it is necessary to fill in a simplified form with a medical document extract, which can be found on the website of Lietuvos Draudimas, and the victim will receive compensation", says Aurelija KAZLAUSKIENE.
