While the 2020 edition of the Summer Olympic Games in Tokio is still questioned because of the pandemics, the following editions are already set for Beijing (2022), Paris (2024), Milan-Cortina d'Ampezzo (2026) and Los Angeles (2028).
For the 2032 edition, if the final decision will be positive one, Budapest will join a rather large group of bidders among which Brisbane (Australia), Jakarta (Indonesia), Doha (Qatar), Istanbul (Turkey) etc. The 2032 bid would be Hungary's seventh attempt to host the Olympics, after some of the previous ones were abandoned because the weak political support.
"In 2021 we arrived the year in which the Hungarian Olympic Committee has to address the tasks preceding candidacy for and hosting the 2032 Olympic Games and has to set up a respective team, otherwise the Hungarian Olympic Committee would not do its job properly," said HOC President Krisztian Kulcsar quoted by aroundtherings.com, one of the most influential internet presence on the Olympics. "Members of the newly founded committee are accomplished captains of industry whose membership guarantees the professional and scrupulous conduct of this study," he added. According to the current estimates, the committee will need about 1.5 years to create a comprehensive feasibility and macroeconomic impact assessment.

- Sandor Nyul, Chair of the Supervisory Board of Granit Bank, a Hungarian commercial banking institution,
- Gabor Orban, Chief Executive Officer of Richter Gedeon, a leading pharmaceutical company in Hungary,
- Anett Pandurics, Chairwoman and Chief Executive Officer of Posta Biztosito, the subsidiary insurance company of Hungary Posta
- Jozsef Varadi, Chief Executive Officer of Wizz Air.
