NEWS ALERT 3Q 2011: Azerbaijani insurance market has a new leader SILK WAY Insurance (IPEK YOLU Sigorta) is the new leader of Azerbaijani insurance market, after the first nine months of the year. According to the financial data published by the Ministry of Finance of Republic of Azerbaijan, the overall gross written premiums of the 28 insurance companies totaled AZN 165.27 million (EUR 155.28 million), representing an increase in local currency of over 43%. MONTENEGRO: Housing insurance business slowing down in 3Q Montenegrin's insurance market growth slowed down in the third quarter of 2011: after a half year 5.63% growth rate, the 3Q results show a 4.9% y-o-y nominal increase in GWP, up to EUR 49.5 million.
