STATISTICS: Czech Insurance Association: Insurance market growing thanks to MOD insurance

At the end of March 2016, the Czech Republic insurance market totaled CZK 31.12 billion (about EUR 1.15 billion), 1.27% more y-o-y, according to the results of the members of the Czech Insurance Association (CAP). The most dynamic sector in non-life insurance is collision insurance. Collision insurance (n.red.: MOD insurance) strengthened year-on-year by 9.2% and helped to maintain the continuing growth of the entire non-life segment", CAP annoucend in a press release.

STATISTICS: MONTENEGRO, 1Q2016: Property insurance decline pushed down the market turnover

CROATIA Osiguranje, 1Q2016: Slightly decreasing GWP, improving profitability indicators and M&A operations in course

CROATIA Osiguranje (CO) maintained its leading position in the Croatian insurance market, with a total share of 35.7% also continuind to lead in all three segments of the life, non-life and health insurance. GWP achieved in the Croatian market amounted to 904.5 million kuna (~EUR 121.5 million), which is 45 less y-o-y. Health insurance was the segment with the best dynamic in 1Q.

"As a country, as an industry, we have to increase the insurance penetration rate. The motor line has already grown, so our focus now is on other lines of business. Health is one of them. We believe in complementary health products because right now just 2 million people benefit from private health policies and we are 80 million in total."
