North Macedonia's Osiguruvanje Makedonija - Vienna Insurance Group (VIG) plans to propose to its shareholders to distribute a total gross dividend of MKD 100 denars (EUR 1.6) per share for 2019 and 2020, SeeNews reports. To compare - for 2018 the company paid a gross dividend of MKD 62 denars per share.

On 22nd April, NN Group announced the completion of the acquisition of MetLife's businesses in Poland, following the approval obtained by the Polish Financial Supervision Authority (Komisja Nadzoru Finansowego, KNF) on 14 April 2022. NN Group completed the acquisition of MetLife's businesses in Greece on 31 January 2022.

ARMENIA: tax payments of insurers in 1Q increased by more than 35% y-o-y

According to the 1Q2022 results, the insurance sector of Armenia increased tax payments to the state budget by 35.3% y-o-y, having paid AMD 667.7 million (~EUR 1.25 million), ArmInfo reports according to the State Revenue Committee of the Republic of Armenia.

AZERBAIJAN: GWP of A-Group for the first quarter of 2022 increased by 18% y-o-y

BELARUS: a model law on compulsory motor insurance to be developed in the Union State of Belarus and Russia

According to the press service of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union of Belarus and Russia, following the last meeting of the Parliamentary Assembly Commission on Legislation and Regulations, it was decided to develop a model law on compulsory motor insurance, BELTA informed.

BELARUS: Belarusian association of insurers: MTPL and health insurance are leading the market

MTPL and health insurance continue to lead the market. In 2021 MTPL segment in Belarus reached BYN 206.77 million (+10.2%)/~EUR 71.73 million. Paid claims in the segment amounted to BYN 152.2 million (+15.5%), according to the new edition of "Insurance in Belarus", prepared by the Belarusian Association of Insurers.
