Effective from January 1, 2021 Olav SPIEGEL has assumed the role of Chief Information Officer (CIO) of Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty SE (AGCS), reporting directly to AGCS SE Chief Operating Officer and Board Member Bettina DIETSCHE.

In his role as AGCS's CIO SPIEGEL succeeds Anton von BEBENBURG who moved into a senior advisor role several months ago, supporting the large-scale IT transformation program of AGCS.

Olav SPIEGEL joined AGCS from ALLIANZ SE where he was responsible for developing the modern workplace strategy for ALLIANZ Group employees, ensuring modern IT equipment, effective performance both in the office and remotely as well as high security standards.

SPIEGEL joined ALLIANZ in 2016 as Head of Business Operations and COO for ALLIANZ Technology of America, after having held various positions in consultancy previously.

In 2018 he transferred to ALLIANZ SE where he developed, together with ALLIANZ Technology, the modern workplace strategy for ALLIANZ including recent enhancements in response to the COVID-19 crisis.
