1 April 2025 — Marina MAGNAVAL
Warta is consistently strengthening its market position, achieving the highest GWP in the property and life insurance segments in 2024 at over PLN 12.6 billion (~EUR 2.94 billion), which means an increase of 17% y-o-y. This is another record year for the Warta Group, the company said on its website.

In 2024, Warta once again achieved a historic sales level, strengthening its position as one of the leaders in the property insurance market in Poland. The company’s property GWP amounted to PLN 11.0 billion (+17.3%). The property insurance segment for individual clients recorded an impressive increase of 22.4%, reaching PLN 1.3 billion. On the other hand, GWP from corporate property insurance increased by 11.6%, reaching almost PLN 2 billion.

“Such significant results are the effect of a consistent development strategy and the best-rated cooperation on the market with agents and brokers, whose role remains key to the company's further growth. Warta is also dynamically developing other important distribution channels, including dealer and leasing networks, as well as direct sales”, explained Jarosław Parkot, President of the Management Board of Warta.

Motor insurance for individual clients recorded a 21.8% increase in 2024, reaching PLN 6.5 billion, while corporate motor insurance achieved a premium increase of PLN 1.2 billion. According to Jarosław Parkot, the past year was full of challenges for the motor insurance market due to the growing inflation and the need to adjust insurance tariffs to dynamically changing market conditions. An increase of paid claims was a direct consequence of higher repair costs, increasingly expensive spare parts and rising rates for service works. Despite such unfavorable market conditions, the company ended the year with a positive technical result in this segment, as President of the Management Board of Warta emphasized.

In 2024, Warta's life company increased its scale of operations, achieving a sales increase of 16.4%, which translated into almost PLN 1.6 billion in GWP. “In the development of life insurance, we focus on protective products with a regular premium. We also focus our efforts on reducing an insurance gap by offering products that are attractive in terms of scope and premium, also in health”, said Jarosław Parkot.

Warta is not only dynamically increasing sales, but also achieving above-average profitability. In 2024, Warta's non-life insurance company generated a net financial result of PLN 940 million, which was possible, among other things, thanks to effective investment activities. Warta's life company recorded a net financial result of PLN 193 million, which means a significant increase y-o-y.

Return on equity (ROE) in 2024 reached an impressive level - 21.8% for the non-life company and 32.8% for the life company, which confirms high efficiency of financial management in both Warta companies.
