Piotr Wrzesiński appointed Vice-President of the Management Board of PIU

On 22 May, the Ordinary General Meeting of the Polish Insurance Association (PIU) appointed Piotr Wrzesiński to the position of Vice-President of the PIU Management Board. He will replace Andrzej Maciążek, the long-term PIU vice-president, who decided to retire.

Piotr Wrzesiński is a lawyer and economist who has been involved in the insurance market for almost two decades. He began his professional career in advisory and consulting companies and then gained experience in the insurance sector.

Since 2013, he has been associated with the Polish Chamber of Insurance, where he was responsible for issues related to life insurance, bancassurance, distribution of insurance products and economic and financial issues of the operations of insurance companies.

He cooperated with key market stakeholders, including supervisory institutions and ministries.

He is an expert in national and European regulations, with experience in analyzing the impact of legal provisions on the activities of insurance companies.

Piotr Wrzesiński is a graduate of the Warsaw School of Economics and the Faculty of Law and Administration of the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin, as well as postgraduate studies at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Warsaw.

The President of PIU is Jan Grzegorz Prądzyński, who has held this position since 2009.
