Polish insurer WARTA, has allocated PLN 11 million (~EUR 2,25 million) to providing active help for Ukrainian citizens. Warta is also one of the Polish insurers providing for free 30 days MTPL insurance for all refugees coming by car from Ukraine to Poland without carrying a Green Card policy.

The Management Board of the Warta Group has prepared a plan to help Ukrainian citizens in connection with the ongoing war in that country. The support package consists of:

  • establishing a fund in the amount of PLN 10 million, which will be allocated to the needs of people affected by the war in Ukraine, including primarily orphans and families currently residing in Ukraine and refugees residing in Poland,
  • establishing a fund in the amount of PLN 1 million to support employee initiatives aimed at helping refugees from Ukraine,
  • Warta's employment of a significant group of people who are refugees from Ukraine,
  • to suspend insurance of the property of companies in Russia and Belarus.
"At Warta we understand that the best help is the one that is provided quickly and goes where it is most needed. Therefore, we decided to urgently establish a fund whose purpose will be to provide support to refugees who seek refuge in Poland, as well as to people who, for various reasons, remained in their country," Jaroslaw PARKOT, President of the Management Board of Warta said.
