The conference began with a solemn part dedicated to the 25th anniversary of its holding, where Alexey Galakhov, Deputy General Director of INGOSSTRAKH, and Ella Platonova, Vice-President of the All-Russian Insurance Association (ARIA), delivered their speeches.
The program was continued by a Plenary session devoted to the results of 2020, the structure, and dynamics of changes in the Russian and international reinsurance markets. Svetlana Gusar, Vice-President of the ARIA; Viktor Nikolsky (S&P) and Alexey Yanin (Expert RA), representatives of foreign and Russian rating agencies, Sanjay Mokashi (GIC Reinsurance) and Natalia Karpova (RNRC), heads of reinsurance companies, Marina Sotova (Zurich Reliable Insurance) and Alexey Shuplyakov (AIG), heads and representatives of insurance companies took part in the session.
The program of the first day, traditionally, included a session on the reinsurance results with the participation of representatives of Russian and international reinsurance and brokerage companies. The first day of the Conference ended with the Plenary Session "Review of international judicial practice on the settlement of losses from a break in production caused by the pandemic", at which representatives of legal and insurance organizations delivered their speeches. Leading lawyers, adjusters, loss settlement specialists with extensive practical experience in this field took park in the thematic section "The practice of resolving complex technical risks. Problems and solutions".
For the first time, the program included a Thematic discussion on ESG risks. During the discussion, the possibilities of using ESG approaches for Russian insurers and ESG strategies in Russian and foreign companies were considered.
The Conference was attended by more than 130 representatives from Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Great Britain, Germany, India, the Czech Republic, Switzerland, and France.
