In the first quarter of 2021, GWP of RESO-Garantia, one of the top-5 market leaders, reached RUB 29.48 billion (EUR 0.33 billion*), which is 17.6% more y-o-y. At the same time, the insurer's paid claims amounted to RUB 14.42 billion (+17.5%), ASN reports with reference to the company's press release.

More than half of the collected GWP came from motor insurance as the main activity of RESO-Garantia (including Motor Hull, MTPL and voluntary motor third party liability insurance), amounting to RUB 15.7 billion (+16.5%), and paid claims - RUB 9.45 billion (+22.7%).

In property insurance (excluding Motor hull), the company generated RUB 3.14 billion (+16.0%). The company's GWP in insurance of property of legal entities (excluding cars) totaled RUB 1.71 billion (+21.2%), the company reported.
