The market is dominated by non-life insurance with 83.7%, said Željko Jović, Vice Governor of the NBS (National Bank of Serbia), at the 9th Serbian Insurance Days which took place on November 26 and 27 at the Zlatibor Hotel in Zlatibor.

According to the press release of the Association of Serbian Insurers (UOS), Jović emphasized that the growth of corporate and household assets is double-digit, but the share of households in premiums is still very low, which means there is a lot of potential for development.

The President of the Assembly of the Association, Miloš Milanović noted that all statistical parameters have doubled in the past 10 years and that people's trust in the insurance industry has improved.

Speaking about the importance of insurance, the Secretary General of the Association, Duško Jovanović emphasized that we are constantly surrounded by too many risks. He added that people in Serbia who are purchasing insurance in increasing numbers understand that, but there is a huge room for growth, the Secretary General of the UOS said.
