“The key indicators of the insurance sector's operations in the past 10 years have recorded a positive trend and more than doubled”, said the governor of the National Bank of Serbia, Jorgovanka Tabaković opening the 8^th edition of the Serbian Insurance Days Conference, organized on November 27 in Zlatibor.

According to her, total assets, technical reserves, capital and premiums have more than doubled since 2014. This also led to an increase in the insurance premium per inhabitant from EUR 83 to EUR 200, and the total premium has increased since 2014 from RSD 69.4 billion to RSD 155.3 billion in the previous year. Also, paid claims amount has more than doubled in the previous 10 years - from RSD 29.8 billion to RSD 82.1 billion, said the governor of the NBS and added that growth was also recorded in the first three quarters of 2024 compared to the same period last year.

From the first "Serbian Insurance Days" to today, the results achieved by the insurance sector in the previous decade make it a significant institutional investor and partner, said the President of the Board of the Association of Serbian Insurers (UOS), Ivana Soković.

The General Secretary of the UOS, Duško Jovanović, said that the Association works to raise citizens' awareness of the importance of insurance, and also to make insurance services easily available.

Serbian Insurance Days is a traditional insurance conference organized by the Association of Serbian Insurers and is one of the largest regional conferences on insurance.
