The Slovenian insurance sector, including insurers, reinsurers and pension companies, increased their pre-tax profit last year to some EUR 416 million, up from EUR 368 million in 2024, according to the insurance supervision agency, SeeNews reports.

The combined pre-tax profit of non-life insurers reached EUR 227.9 million last year from EUR 172 million in 2024, the agency said.

Life insurers reported overall pre-tax profit of EUR 79.5 million in 2025, down from EUR 110 million a year earlier. Reinsurers generated EUR 93.2 million in combined pre-tax profit last year, up from EUR 73.3 million in 2024. Pension companies increased their total pre-tax profit to EUR 15.1 million from EUR 12.1 million, the source wrote.
