Estonian insurers posted 9M 2025 aggregate GWP worth EUR 503.88 million, by almost 1% less y-o-y, according to the market figures published by the Estonian National Statistics Board. Total paid claims by local insurers remained almost on the same level as the previous year, to ~EUR 302 million.
Total GWP reported on non-life insurance classes amounted to EUR 437.9 million (1.87% down y-o-y), of which EUR 130.25 million – MoD, EUR 121 million – property insurance, and EUR 91.13 million – Motor TPL. At the same time, the life insurance segment was up by 6.7% y-o-y to EUR 66 million (~13% of total GWP).
The largest life insurer in the country in terms of GWP remained SWEDBANK Life Insurance SE (44.35% market share), while Swedbank P&C Insurance AS (19.09%) lead the non-life insurance segment.
