The insurance market of Kosovo totaled EUR 41.58 million at the end of Q1 2026, 2.77% more y-o-y, according to data provided by the Central Bank (CBK). The Bank ceased providing results for the life insurance business, which means this figure is related exclusively to the non-life business.

Out of the total GWP, slightly more than 52% or EUR 21.76 million related to mandatory MTPL: EUR 20.33 million for Domestic MTPL and EUR 1.43 million for border policies.

Paid claims amounted to EUR 20.56 million, 5% less y-o-y, with the mandatory MTPL LoB generating about half of this amount.
